Because they focus on young people in their first years as independent adults. And if you attended college, you will almost certainly be transported back to your experiences as you watch them.

The Sex Lives of College Girls is an American teen comedy-drama streaming TV show aired on HBO Max on November 18, 2021. Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble produced the show.  This is indeed one of the most awesome Comedy TV shows.

A Different World

This Cosby Show spinoff, which centers on Denise Huxtable and her classmates at a historically black university, is widely considered among its best examples. The American sitcom TV shows A Different World is a spin-off of The Cosby Show. 

Denise Huxtable (Lisa Bonet) and her fellow students at Hillman College, a made-up HBCU in Virginia, were the show’s original focus. The culture of students at HBCUs served as an inspiration. This one from the Comedy TV Show list is indeed worth watching.

4. Saved by the Bell

It premiered on NBC on Tuesday evenings, making it the only series in the franchise not to show on Saturday mornings. The show centers on four college freshmen and the three women who share their dorm room.  This one can be considered one of the best comedy TV shows.

This comedy follows Zoey Johnson as she adjusts to life as a college freshman. The American sitcom Grown-ish is a spin-off of the popular ABC show Black-ish. The children of the Johnson family are the focus of this single-camera comedy. This is one of the best comedy TV shows.

6. The Parkers

The Parkers

This comedy show, among the best TV shows on the list, follows a young woman who is humiliated when her mother enrolls in classes at the same community college where she is enrolled. Based on another successful UPN series, Moesha, the Parkers is yet another example of a show spawning a spin-off.

The series follows a mother and daughter struggling financially yet also students at Santa Monica College. Nikki Parker abandoned her high school career nearly two decades earlier because she became pregnant. Finally, the time came for her daughter to attend college, and she chose to go with her to make up for the years she lost out on learning and experience.

Several non-Greek people and events occur throughout the series but are somehow interconnected with the Greeks. The Cartwright brothers, Rusty and Casey, are the focus of this series as they deal with the fallout from the Greek system in Cyprus and Rhodes. There are six sections, one for each of the four distinct seasons. This one among the TV shows list is worth watching.

The sitcom, developed by Judd Apatow, centers on the comedic challenges of being a college student. And having only aired for a single season, this show was beautiful and should not have been canceled. American comedy series Undeclared, created by Judd Apatow, premiered on Fox in 2001–02.

Apatow’s last TV effort inspired him to create this half-hour comedy. The main characters of Undeclared are a group of first-year students at the made-up University of Northeastern California. And this can be considered one of the superb TV shows.

9. Dear White People

This satirical comedy, based on the 2014 film of the same name, examines the challenges faced by minority students at an elite but overwhelmingly white university. And the film is told from the points of view of numerous black students at a made-up but prominent Ivy League university. So where racial tensions are beginning to boil over. This can be considered one of the excellent TV shows.

10. Blue Mountain State

It focuses on three first-year students at Blue Mountain State, a powerhouse football program in the Midwest, and their struggles to balance their newfound passion for the sport with their academic and social obligations.

This long-running sitcom follows the Matthews family and their beloved son Corey as he progresses through schooling and life. And the episodes set during “College years” are my favorites from this program.

11. Boy Meets World

Boy Meets World

The show follows Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and his family and friends as he grows up. And each episode follows Cory as he navigates the challenges of adolescence at home and in the classroom, with guidance from his teacher and neighbor, George Feeny (William Daniels). Like Family, friendship, and the search for identity are recurring, overarching themes. In later seasons, several characters were introduced.

12. Gilmore Girls

Reviewers lauded Gilmore Girls for its clever banter, generational appeal, and successful blend of comedy and pathos. Since 2004, the show has been broadcast daily in syndication. And its expanding fan base has earned it the title of “cult classic” among viewers in the United States in the 2000s. Soon after its cancellation in 2007, Gilmore Girls was recognized as one of Time magazine’s 100 best television series ever.
