Teen Shows: 20 List to Watch on Amazon Prime

Teen Shows: 20 List to Watch on Amazon Prime

Only a handful of critically original series has made Amazon Prime Video household names. But there are chances for improvement. Though they’re more approachable and fun. But many people want to know about the Teen shows on Amazon.

After finishing the brand new series The Wilds, we felt compelled to recommend several great Amazon Prime episodes for teenagers. When I’m making a list, we prefer to prioritize original content because it will always be accessible. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for something to watch that isn’t an original series, we’ve also included a list of them.

Teen shows to watch on Prime

People want to know about Teen shows on Amazon Prime. Some famous Teen shows to watch on Prime are as follows:

The Wilds

The Wilds

We had high hopes for the show. And after seeing the pilot, we realized we didn’t like the premise, the writing, or the characters (just terrible). Still, we decided to give it another shot after reading all the laudatory reviews. Afterward, we were utterly captivated.

In this story, several adolescent ladies spend some time on an island after their plane crashes on the way to a retreat. The hilarity, however, does not end there. Instead, the drama develops as we delve further into their histories, travel across time to see what became of them and realize the real reason they were there.

We don’t like several things about it, namely, the stereotypes and some fine cringe writing at times, but the program is entertaining and has excellent potential. Amazon has already ordered a second season; we can’t wait to see what they do with it. This can be considered one of the best Teen shows.

Alex Rider

Alex Rider

Although Alex Rider may be found on IMDb TV, those with Amazon Prime should have no trouble watching it. After his father’s death, a young man is recruited by the Department of Special Operations. When he investigates the murder of his father, they send him on an assignment as a spy in an elite school for children of the wealthy.

This program has a highly erratic tempo, veering between being too sluggish and too rapid. Not much is revealed about Alex’s past that would explain his abilities. We also wish there was more going on. But there’s so much possibility in it! (plus a killer theme song). We can’t wait for more because it’s been picked up for a second season. This is indeed one of the best Teen shows.

Hanna

Hanna

Hanna is the best show here if action is what you seek. There are more traditional “teen shows” out there, but we include this one because it follows a teen girl as she experiences adulthood for the first time.

It’s based on the 2011 film of the same name, which featured Saoirse Ronan and Eric Bana. Hanna, a young woman whose DNA was altered by the Central Intelligence Agency, is played by Esme Creed-Miles. Yet when Hanna is taken from them as an infant, she grows up with her father, Erik, a former CIA agent, in a Polish forest (played by Joel Kinnaman).

Erik has spent her entire life preparing her to be a formidable fighter. This training serves her well when she and Erik are separated and on the run from the CIA, including an overzealous agent played by Mireille Enos.

In this program, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Several exciting scenes are included featuring seasoned performers Joel Kinnaman and Mireille Enos and the lighter moments typical of teen-focused television.

It’s entertaining to see a strong and confident young woman like Hanna make her way in the world for the first time, enjoying the freedom of her adolescence without losing her ability to put an opponent in their place. Unfortunately, the second season could be better than the first, but it’s still a fantastic program. This is one of the finest Teen shows that you can watch.

Wayne

Wayne

Wayne, the show’s namesake, and protagonist, is a brazen adolescent who likes to fight and right wrongs by kicking people in the shins—he and his girlfriend journey to recover Wayne’s father’s stolen automobile. Imagine “The Equalizer” with an angry and disruptive adolescent in place of Denzel Washington.

Like that Amazon Prime program, it features interesting characters, dark humor, and adult characters who do and say shitfaced things, so it reminds me of The End of the World. It’s a strange and wonderful adventure. Despite the show’s merits, only some people are talking about it. This is worth watching as a teen show in the list of best Teen shows.

Panic

Panic

The book Panic by Lauren Oliver serves as the basis for the film Panic. It follows a group of teens competing in a secret competition called Panic, a series of dangerous stunts and games, hoping to win a large cash prize and escape their small town. Unfortunately, together with its ridiculous concept, the show’s main flaw is the excessive melodrama with which it treats its subject matter.

Though it was canceled after only one season, there are only a few loose ends to be found in conclusion, making it worthwhile to watch in its entirety if the premise interests you. This is a very fantastic teen show on the list of Teen shows.

We know what you did the Last Summer

We know what you did the Last Summer

The TV show Last Summer is a remake of the classic horror film from 1997. So naturally, it follows a group of high school seniors as they are hunted by an unknown assailant a year after a tragic catastrophe marred their graduation party. Let us pause, so you can watch some of the series while binging

However, the show differs from the movies, and the first episode is difficult to sit through because of the poor acting and writing (that whole party scene is so cringy). Nevertheless, the murders are excellent if you’re a horror genre fan. This show in the list of best Teen shows is worth watching.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

The American television series Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, was developed by writer/director Joss Whedon. Although sharing its title with a 1992 film created by Whedon, this show needs to be more connected to that picture. Whedon’s Mutant Enemy Productions label was used for his roles as executive producer and showrunner.

Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), the protagonist of the show, is the most recent in a long line of young women known as “Vampire Slayers” or “Slayers.” This show in the Original shows for adults list is fantastic.

That 70’s Show

That 70’s Show

The show was reproduced in 1999 with identical scripts, with only slight adjustments made for cultural references, for the ITV network in the United Kingdom under the title Days like These. On January 19, 2023, Amazon Prime debuted “That 90’s Show”, a sequel series set in 1995 and centered on the offspring of the main characters from That 70’s Show. Again, this show in the original shows for adults list is superb.

Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf

American director Rod Daniel and screenwriters Jeph Loeb and Matthew Weisman brought Teen Wolf to the big screen in 1985. Starring Michael J. Fox, the film follows a high school kid (the protagonist) whose mundane existence is upended when he learns he is a werewolf. The movie was shot in November and December of 1984.

Atlantic Releasing Corporation launched the theatrical run of Teen Wolf on August 23, 1985. The film grossed almost $80 million on a budget of only $4 million while receiving mixed reviews. Nevertheless, this can be considered one of the finest Original shows for adults.

Glee

Glee

The Fox network in the United States broadcasts the musical comedy-drama series. Glee from May 19, 2009, to March 20, 2015. The show follows the fictional William McKinley High School’s glee club, the New Directions, as they compete as a show choir. Like while dealing with various societal concerns, including sexuality, racism, family, adolescent relationships, and cooperation. This is one of the best Original shows for adults.
